Hi, I'm Josel — welcome to "A Shot with a Shot."

This blog is where I write about the different threads that make up my life. I share stories from my travels and experiences in Japan, reflections from my journey as a stroke survivor, my ongoing (and often humbling) struggles with chess, the everyday ups and downs of just getting through life, moments with my family, and the road I've walked through my career in DepEd.

I don't stick to one lane here — some days it's a travel story, some days it's something more personal about recovery and resilience, and other days it's just me thinking out loud about a chess game I should have won. What ties it all together is that these are my real experiences, written honestly, in the hope that something here resonates with someone else going through their own version of these journeys.
